You are on a limited profile !

Most often these days in the virtual world of Facebook we have people who feature on a so called “Limited profile/Restricted profile.”

 Earlier I used to think why add such people who I’ll have to put on my limited profile! But, then came along certain persuasive people from school/ex work places/acquaintances you know through somebody very close and you can’t insult them by rejecting their friend request altogether! So you accept them and hide most information/picture updates/blog updates etc. from them!

 There were also some people from our families(relatives/extended relatives etc.who are elders or from places which are more conventional and may be wouldn’t rate our idea of fun statuses/pictures as their own taste too.

So to avoid any such trouble we have this setting! Thanks Zuckerberg!

There could also be other reasons, like for instance the following:

 1)They don’t have the level of intellect and the right understanding to decipher your views on life, what you express in your status updates or your blogs.

 2)They are gossip mongers who go around showing your profile updates or pictures to people who are not fond of u (amongst ex staff/in family or friends) who in turn bitch about you and cook up false stories on your character basis those! Sometimes people who we reject or un-friend have access to your profile through others and stalk you and continue gossiping about you.

 3)A few think the status updates are for them, not realising, that one has ample number of friends and foes for whom the statuses can be or sometimes they are just thinking aloud for somebody who isn’t even on facebook!It’s just ranting and letting out one’s wrath!

 4)You just add some people you aren’t particularly fond of but, you have to add them because they are close to one of your friend or work colleagues!

 5)People are too wella( as in jobless in life) and have nothing better to do than look for reasons to run you down and feel self important in the process!

 6)Some people are just the ones you have a fallout with and wouldn’t want them to know what’s happening in your life , at the same time not being interested in their life too!

 Just like the world of parallel realities is here to stay so is the world of Limited Profiles!So for the few who feature on mine, please don’t mind you could just be in it for nothing’s sake! May be its people around you who are a problem for me and may be I’d be safer and more at peace if I steered away from controversies!
