Flight to freedom

“Memories I want to make
New ones too soon
I push the old ones
To make way through!” –Anjali Sethi

Lately I’ve been feeling a little somewhat new...more positive, happier and thanking God every possible minute for giving me all that he has.

No matter what troubles he brings to you, he brings along tremendous strength to endure it all. If it wasn’t the case one wouldn’t be sane in this city after so many so called rejections or things not working out!

Every new person you meet here brings along new experiences, new suggestions and their own potli full of “gyaan.” Everyone here knows a lot...a lot more than u would know about yourself (at least that’s how they project it.) I’ve realised so far, listen to everyone, don’t resent or relent. Give them the due importance they are seeking for themselves, let them feel important. But in the end-do what your heart tells you and never what the world or these so called pseudo intellectuals tell you. Filter and keep only the essential part of the conversation with you, which’ll help you in your growth and dream plan. Let the rest of their words of wisdom be falling on deaf ears for all they’ll know.

If you weren’t to go through rejections, failures and pitfalls the race to the road of success won’t be all that exciting! Also, at the end of the day it’s your experiences and hardships that make you what you are. If you were to go by the advice of all the people around you, you’ll never be successful. If you look into the stories of most successful people, you’ll see one thing common- that all of them followed their heart and passions till the end. They never gave up! And that’s the key to success and happiness!

You are the choices that u make – help yourself then expect the world to help you. It’s incorrect to say I couldn’t do this coz of such and such person or xyz circumstances in life. You are responsible for the circumstances you are in and the people you chose to be with! A failed relationship, an unhappy relationship you are currently in, poverty, being busy etc. can’t be used as excuses. Even handicapped people today are going ahead realising their dreams! That requires courage and I salute such people from the bottom of my heart!

I dance, sing , be with people/friends who make me happy...I’ve stopped being around people who pull me down or have extra wisdom they want to rub in and try and shake the ground on which I stand firm.

I am on a flight to freedom- a flight to free my thoughts and senses and a flight which’ll eventually take me to new heights. Heights, may be even my heart doesn’t know rest hidden deep within it.
