Chaotic day!

It was one of those irritating days when you wake up to chaos. The door bell doesn’t stop ringing, your maid shows up late (and u nearly gave up on her coming) everybody’s calling you on the phone one after the other and you haven’t been able to have a conversation with any one of them.
I so like my peace in the morning. I’m so used to silence and peace in the morning that if someone yaps too much with me or makes unnecessary conversations I lose my head!
Having said that, the day progressed in a decent way- with me preparing my bit for a part to play in a forthcoming project and then, doing my bit of networking on our social networking sites.
I get a rather funny call from this lady who claims she’s from a BIG production house n wanted me to come for an audition for a lead role of a Hindi film. She had called me the previous night too and when I probed into the details of the project she’d said she’ll make “madam “call me in the morning. It appeared that she’d conveniently forgotten having spoken to me the previous night.
As the case would be I again asked her the details of the project. What’s the film about, who is directing it etc etc? To my surprise she whispered some gibberish to the “madam “behind her(who told her to tell me they are busy and can’t share the details)The girl promptly tells me that this’ll be my 1st break in a feature film so I should not ask too many questions but just come. I politely declined saying I can’t come till I know the details.
These kind of people and few others think they own us. Whenever they do call us for an audition, even if its jus and hour’s notice, we should leave everything and go.Well, I know a lot of people who actually do go too, but, not me. If it has to be mine it’ll come to me any which ways. And most of the times these auditions do last minimum 2-3 days. Some even go on for as long as a week or so.
After an interesting session of attitude exchange with this lady I set out for a fun evening with friends. My 1st filmy party. It was the music launch party of some new film. Paparazzi were going crazy and there was almost a stampede when the star actress was moving out.
And then the night was open for socialising-'rarely seen' actors/actresses posing for pictures and socialising. My friend and I made ourselves comfortable and suddenly discovered common connections with few other people around us. The world is a very small place. It’s strange how somebody knows somebody from some place and they meet after several years in “maaaya nagri.” Mumbai is a lovely city and its wonderful to see different people blending so well with each other.

The day started in chaos but its not necessary that a bad beginning would have a bad ending. Hope for the best and you can turn chaos to bliss. My day was a living example of that :-)
